Adam Wolf, CPA, CFP®

President

Adam Wolf is the president of Wolf Retirement Navigation LLC and has more than 25 years of experience in the personal financial services industry. Adam grew up with an appreciation for the grit and sacrifice required to achieve the American Dream, watching his parents work long and hard hours in their respective careers in order to provide better opportunities for the family.

Seeing retirees fall through the cracks of the traditional financial planning model — leaving them exposed to preventable market risks, excessive fees, and tax risks that could cost them their life savings — inspired Adam to create a new type of firm, with a new type of planner, that would dedicate 100% of its focus to tools and resources that hard-working folks in or near retirement deserve and actually need – and, thus, Wolf Retirement Navigation LLC was founded in 2014.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with a double major in Accounting from Virginia Tech. Adam has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2002, and he earned his Certified Financial Planning™ certification in 2005, a designation held by a select number of advisors in the financial field who uphold the board’s uncompromising set of standards. He is knowledgeable and current in the areas of retirement planning, investments, federal taxation, annuities, and life insurance.

Adam genuinely understands how these strategies and products deliver solutions for clients to help reach their overall financial goals, especially in the years leading up to and through retirement. Adam also works closely with other professionals, including estate planning and elder law attorneys, to give his clients every possible chance to succeed when building individualized and written retirement plans.

Known as “Jacksonville’s Retirement Coach,” Adam frequently appears on local TV channels, with bi-weekly short segments airing on alternating weekday evenings, 30-minute shows on Sunday mornings, as well as on CBS Sunday Morning with “The Morning Money Report.” He has written the foreword to the well-received book, The New Holistic Retirement, authored several articles, and has been published in numerous newspapers. Adam is a RetireMentor for the Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch.com and has been quoted elsewhere in the Wall Street Journal, itself. He also shares his vast knowledge through local radio shows and podcasts, available on Apple and Spotify, helping audiences gain valuable insights into their retirement years.

Adam is passionate about giving back to the community and proudly serves on the board of the Police Athletic League of Jacksonville (JaxPAL). The Police Athletic League of Jacksonville enriches the lives of children by creating positive relationships between law enforcement officers and the youth of our community through education, athletic, outreach, and teen leadership programs.  Wolf Retirement Navigation has enjoyed a longstanding partnership with this amazing charitable organization.

There are numerous fundraising events throughout the year, including the notable “29029” Everest Challenge. Adam has 36 hours to reach 29,029 feet, the equivalent height of Mt. Everest, at a designated mountain spot in the United States. He is dedicated to completing this annual challenge and trains year-round to master this rigorous and epic hike. Through mentoring and volunteering programs at the JaxPAL Westside Center site, in addition to toy drives during the Christmas holiday season, Adam and his devoted team remind these wonderful kids just how very special they truly are.

Every November since 2015, Wolf Retirement Navigation teams up with Tony’s Turkey Trot® for Brain Injury Awareness for the annual 5K run along the beautiful beaches of Atlantic Beach, Florida. The Tony Meduri TBI Fund is dedicated to bringing awareness to those who have suffered traumatic brain injuries and supporting those who have survived. This cause is particularly meaningful to Adam due to family members affected by TBI. He is honored to serve on the planning committee for the fun-filled Thanksgiving Day trot. We encourage and invite clients, friends, and family members to join the Wolf Pack every November for a memorable and worthwhile event!
